Student journalist Alex Shieh is under investigation for doing his job: asking questions.
On March 18, Alex launched Bloat at Brown. This initiative was inspire by DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency).
Alex emailed all 3,805 full-time administrative staff at Brown University asking: What do you do all day?
Within 48 hours, Brown started a formal investigation.
Brown’s Administrators accused Alex of “emotional harm” and “misrepresentation.” This is not how universities should respond to questions.
That’s where The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) comes in.
Through our Student Journalism Association, we defend Alex’s rights and support his work. But we cannot do this without your help.
Your donation helps students like Alex do their job despite left-wing administrators..
