TFAS will host the final Liberty + The Future Alumni Lecture in New York City on Thursday, June 8.

Immigration: Past Success, Present Crisis and Future Solutions

Join a lively discussion on the current immigration crisis and how we can create practical solutions that enable legal immigration without sacrificing our national security. We’ll explore what has worked in the past, what isn’t working now, and what we can do in the future. To frame our discussion, we will have a multimedia presentation from Simon Hankinson, a leading expert on immigration policy from the renowned Washington think tank The Heritage Foundation. A former career foreign service officer with years of experience working in diplomatic missions around the world, Hankinson has a nuanced and insightful perspective on the issue of immigration.

The event will take place at The Brunswick Group offices in the Grace Building in Midtown Manhattan. On the corner of 6th and 42nd, the building overlooks the iconic Avenue of the Americas and the beautiful Bryant Park. The building is located just steps away from the New York Public Library, Grand Central Terminal and Times Square. During the reception, guests can take in the summer evening views of the Bryant Park fountain, carousel and city skyline.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be part of the solution – register now!

ABOUT THE SERIES

The “Liberty + the Future: NYC Alumni Lecture Series” is an exclusive opportunity for TFAS alumni and friends in the New York area to think critically about the ideas and issues that impact a free society while connecting with fellow alumni leaders who are passionate about creating a brighter and more prosperous future.

Each event features liberty thought leaders to speak on issues related to free enterprise, economic and political liberty, limited government and individual responsibility. Each lecture is followed by a reception, allowing attendees to continue the discussion and network with fellow alumni peer leaders in the New York area.

This series is made possible through the generosity of the Achelis and Bodman Foundation. Their gift, made in support of our 50th Anniversary Campaign initiative to engage and mobilize the global TFAS alumni network, allows alumni leaders to continue their education in liberty.

TFAS is more than just a standalone program: it’s a journey with academic opportunities available from high school all the way through to the professional level. We know that TFAS alumni grow into influential leaders who think critically about the world around them and seek opportunities to grow and expand both their networks and knowledge so they can have a greater impact on society.
