Gerard Baker
Gerard Baker is the editor-at-large of The Wall Street Journal and TFAS Media Fellow. Baker writes a weekly column and hosts a podcast, both titled “Free Expression.” He has previously served as Editor-in-Chief of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones. Baker has worked for several prestigious news organizations throughout his career, including The Financial Times, The Times of London and the BBC. In his role as TFAS Media Fellow, Baker serves as a keynote speaker at various events across the country, speaking to TFAS supporters, students and journalists. Baker’s speaking engagements advance a core tenet of the TFAS mission: developing a new generation of journalists that practice objectivity, maintain high ethical standards, and display a solid understanding of free-market economic principles in their work.
