Constitutional Leadership Seminars

//////////////////////

Dr. Donald Devine’s Constitutional Leadership Seminars provide a free educational opportunity for college students to gain further knowledge of the Constitution and the values of America’s founders from someone who learned them directly from President Ronald Reagan and other founders of the conservative movement.

Since its founding over 200 years ago, our constitutional democracy has worked to make the United States the most prosperous nation in the world. But, how did we get here? During his Constitutional Leadership Seminar, Dr. Devine takes students on a journey through human history as he illuminates key moments before and after our Founding Fathers embarked on this unprecedented experiment in liberty.

About Dr. Devine
The Washington Post described Dr. Devine as Ronald Reagan’s “terrible swift sword of the civil service.” As director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management during President Reagan’s first term, Devine helped cut 100,000 bureaucratic jobs and saved over $6 billion by reducing bloated benefits. Before and after his government service, Devine was an academic, teaching 14 years as associate professor of government and politics at the University of Maryland and for a decade as a professor of Western civilization at Bellevue University. He is a columnist and author of eight books, including his most recent “America’s Way Back: Reclaiming Freedom, Tradition and Constitution.” Devine served as an advisor to Reagan from 1976 to 1985, to Sen. Bob Dole from 1988-1996 and to Steve Forbes between 1998-2000.
