Fellowship projects should be both original and publishable. Fellows and Full Fellows produce six written installments – one every other month – over the course of their fellowship year. These installments may serve as the basis for a series of articles or a book. Recipients of Alumni Fund Fellowships, which are generously supported by alumni of the Novak program, write one major essay for publication on their topic. Alumni Fund candidates are chosen from applicants for the other fellowships – there is no separate application process.

If you have questions or would like more information about the Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship Program, please contact program director Daniel McCarthy at dmccarthy@TFAS.org or visit the Robert Novak Journalism Fellowships page.
