The TFAS Summer Law Fellowship includes optional housing in residential buildings in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C., just a short walk from the Capitol building, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court and two Metrorail stations.
These are furnished historic apartments with shared bedrooms. Each apartment includes two-three bedrooms, with two people assigned to each bedroom.
The apartments are internet-ready, air-conditioned and have easily accessible laundry facilities. Each apartment has a fully furnished kitchen with plates, silverware and glassware. Also included are two or three twin-sized beds, a table and chairs, a full bathroom and closets. The living/dining area is equipped with a TV with basic cable. While each apartment layout is different, the amenities included are the same. A limited number of single bedrooms within a shared apartment may be available for an additional cost.
TFAS Summer Law Fellowship housing is owned and operated by Washington Intern Student Housing (WISH). All occupants are subject to WISH policies, terms and conditions. Click here for more details.
TFAS staff will hand-match you with roommates based on compatibility preferences provided in a housing survey completed at the time of enrollment.
Students not comfortable living with two-six roommates in a historic building setting are highly encouraged to find accommodations elsewhere.
