Joel Troutman (IBGA 13) joined TFAS to serve as the program associate, moving up to coordinator and then manager, for the Institute on Business and Government Affairs (IBGA) after participating in IBGA both as a student and as a program advisor. During Joel’s TFAS summer, he interned for the Deputy General Counsel at the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation, an experience that really helped shape his professional career. He graduated from Maranatha Baptist University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in digital media communications.
Originally hailing from New Jersey, Joel caught Potomac fever and is thrilled to call D.C. his home. He enjoys exploring D.C.’s food scene and is also an avid runner and fountain enthusiast. He spends much of his free time on the National Mall.
