Lynn Calderwood has been a receptionist with The Fund for American Studies since March 2008. She came to TFAS after nearly 40 years working with the U.S. government, including with the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Transportation and 32 years with the National Credit Union Administration. She enjoys working for TFAS now because she likes the people who work with her and thinks it’s neat that TFAS brings students to Washington and helps them get academic and work experience in their field of interest.
Lynn spent her childhood in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, spending her summers in the countryside near Gettysburg, where her family has had a cabin since 1942. Prior to that, her family camped in tents in the same region each year.
She is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and has lived in the D.C. metropolitan area for over 45 years. She looks forward to each opportunity she has to travel, whether it’s up to Gettysburg or Maine, or down to Costa Rica where her brother lives.
