Rob Simpson serves as program manager of the Public Policy + Economics track of TFAS D.C. Summer Programs, a position he has held since January 2019.

Prior to joining TFAS, Rob worked as research director and deputy political director for a political action committee in Washington, D.C., for five years. It was there where he first connected with TFAS, serving as the intern coordinator for his association for four years, then as a mentor to TFAS students during the 2017 and 2018 summers. Rob has seen firsthand the good work TFAS does, and is excited to now be a part of the team.

A Connecticut native, Rob graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He has worked on political campaigns on the federal, state and local levels for nearly a decade. Before to moving to D.C., Rob served as a legislative aide in the Connecticut General Assembly.

In his free time, Rob loves to talk about politics, sports and the weather. He also loves to cook.

Rob and his wife, Eileen, live on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. They love to vacation, watch “The Office,” go on hikes with their dog, Sarah, and visit wineries throughout Maryland and Virginia.
