WillWeatherford-12The Fund for American Studies is pleased to announce that Will Weatherford, a 2002 alumnus of the Institute on Business and Government Affairs (IBGA) at The Fund for American Studies (TFAS), was recently sworn in as the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. Speaker Weatherford has been a tireless advocate for conservative and free-market causes since his election to the Florida House in 2006. He has also been a proponent of ethical and transparent government, and fiscal responsibility in Florida.

Speaker Weatherford’s election to his new position is especially significant given that he is the youngest speaker ever to be so-honored. He also follows a family tradition of service as his wife, Courtney, is the daughter of former Florida House Speaker Allan Bense. The Weatherfords live in Wesley Chapel, Fla. with their three young daughters. We are very proud to have Speaker Weatherford as an alumnus and member of the TFAS family.
