TFAS Launches 50th Anniversary Campaign

Announcing a Multi-Year Plan to Engage and Energize a Leadership Force Advancing the Cause of Liberty for Decades to Come

Teaching Freedom Since 1967

The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) is an educational nonprofit that is changing the world by developing leaders for a free society. Our transformational programs teach the principles of limited government, free-market economics and honorable leadership to students and young professionals in America and around the world.

Since 1967, 17,000 students, representing more than 140 countries, have attended a TFAS summer, semester or year-long program. In addition to our core institutes, TFAS reached more than 10,000 young people in 2017 through educational videos, fellowships and seminars. The Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE) is The Fund for American Studies’ strategic partner in reaching future leaders at the high school level. More than 15,000 high school teachers and more than 10,000 high school students have participated in FTE programs that teach “the economic way of thinking.”

Today, there are more than 42,000 TFAS and FTE-trained alumni making the difference in their communities and throughout the world by upholding the values essential to the preservation and success of a free society.

Give the Gift of TFAS

Each year, hundreds of accepted applicants miss out on a TFAS education due to insufficient scholarship funding. Help us ensure that financial need does not stand in the way of teaching the principles of limited government, free-market economics and honorable leadership.
