Alumni Insurance Program

//////////////////////

As you may already be aware, The Fund for American Studies sponsors an Alumni Insurance Program in partnership with Meyer & Associates as a service to alumni.

The program offers a variety of attractively priced insurance products, most of which are available to alumni, students, faculty, and staff, as well as their spouses, parents, children, and siblings. For more information, CLICK HERE.

New college graduates will be specifically interested to learn that children can be covered on a parent’s policy until age 26, even if they’re no longer students. This expanded access may be helpful to many, but consider the following:

¨ Coverage on a parent’s policy may be expensive
¨ Parental coverage may have network or geographic limitations
¨ Some parents have no coverage, so this expanded access won’t help
¨ This change will begin in the fall of 2010 and may not impact many employer plans until policy renewals after the fall. Unless your insurer and employer have chosen to accelerate the effective date, you may need to seek alternatives if you need coverage sooner

Don’t risk going without health insurance, especially when affordable options are available. Most products are available to family members as well. For more information visit www.meyerandassoc.com/ma/TFAS or contact the program administrator at 800-635-7801. You can also read more by visiting the TFAS Alumni Benefits page HERE.
