Noemi Koranyi, (AIPES 93, ICPES 93)Noemi Koranyi, (AIPES 93, ICPES 93) attended two TFAS programs. After years of studying English, Koranyi came to the U.S. for the first time in 1993, as a student in the Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems (ICPES). The trip was a logical choice for her, as she was an English/American studies double-major at ELTE University in her native Budapest, Hungary.

One of the top students in the 1993 ICPES, Koranyi was invited to attend the American Institute on Political and Economic Systems (AIPES), which was in its second year.

Koranyi was a leader in the 60-person AIPES class, often leading discussion and forging consensus among students from many different countries representing many different political perspectives.

After completing her education, Koranyi took a position at the U.S. Embassy in Budapest as an analyst. She worked at the embassy for two and a half years before accepting her current position as chief-of-staff on the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Hungarian Parliament.
