Deadline Extended for Outstanding Students to Attend TFAS and FTE Programs

Do you know an outstanding college student who may benefit from and appreciate a TFAS education? If so, please encourage them to apply to U.S. Summer and Semester Programs in Washington, D.C. The application deadline for our Summer 2017 programs has been extended to April 5 and our priority application deadline for our Fall 2017 program is April 13.

FTE Programs for High School Students

Encourage the high school sophomores and juniors in your life to apply for the Economics for Leaders (EFL) programs, sponsored by TFAS partner organization, the Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE). Tell them to apply today at www.FTE.orgThe application deadline for FTE summer 2017 programs has been extended to April 10.

FTE students learn economic concepts through a hands-on activity during a conference at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

The goal of the Economics for Leaders (EFL) program is to give promising students the skills to be more effective leaders and to teach them how to employ economic analysis when considering difficult public policy choices. Students learn through a hands-on approach that explains economic concepts in exciting and relatable ways.

Given the existing challenges confronting our nation and, assuming that problems in years to come will be equally consequential, the job of preparing the next generation of leaders may be one of the most important actions we can take now to ensure our well being in the future. The Foundation for Teaching Economics is committed to finding and nurturing those budding leaders.

When applying, please tell your High School students to list “TFAS” in the “How did you hear about FTE?” section of the application.
