Join TFAS alumni as we give back to the community in Chicago on Saturday, June 2. The Greater Chicago Food Depository (Chicago’s Food Bank) regularly needs volunteers to help with repacking donated food and other necessities. Repack session volunteers help the Food Bank organize and break down much of bulk food donations they receive at the warehouse into manageable sizes.
In a repack session, volunteers complete a variety of tasks including sorting produce, overseeing bread shipments or repacking bulk dry goods (pasta, rice, beans) into smaller quantities. Together, we can properly and efficiently distribute quality food to local food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters in Cook County!
