Dr. Anne Bradley Lecture on “Economics of Terrorism” at John Brown University

November 7, 2019

Soderquist Business Center

2000 W University St, Siloam Springs, AR 72761

//////////////////////

Students at John Brown University are invited to a campus lecture on the “Economics of Terrorism” featuring TFAS Academic Director Dr. Anne Bradley on Thursday, Nov. 7.

Dr. Bradley’s remarks will examine al-Qaeda as a case study in modern terrorism from a rational choice, comparative institutional perspective. Seeing terrorist activity through this lens allows us to capture both the demand and supply sides of its “market,” a perspective that can illuminate dimensions of international terrorism that often escape more conventional analyses, and offer some novel and promising counterstrategies.

A leading scholar in international economics, Dr. Bradley is the TFAS Academic Director and George and Sally Mayer Fellow for Economic Education at TFAS. In this role, she delivers lectures around the country, oversees curriculum development and evaluation for economics courses and works to enhance the impact and reach of TFAS economic education programs.

Please join us for this insightful discussion. We look forward to seeing you there.
