Join TFAS alumni, staff and friends as we lay wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery during National Wreaths Across America Day on Dec. 16. Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, WAA carries out its mission to “Remember, Honor and Teach” by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 1,200 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad. The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) is joining the mission for the third consecutive year to join this act of honoring fallen soldiers and their families.

McClellan Gate
Schedule Update: The gates will open at 8:30 a.m. As wreath placement begins at 9:15 a.m., we will now be meeting at 8:45 a.m. at the McClellan Gate (located just off of Eisenhower Drive, on McClellan Drive, between Sections 33 and 12). Look for TFAS Coordinator of Alumni Programs Brenda Hafera with the blue TFAS flag. As traffic and parking will be difficult, we strongly advise taking the metro or walking to the cemetery. If you are interested in attending special ceremonies throughout the morning, please see the full schedule on the Wreaths Across America website.
RSVP
Please RSVP by Friday, Dec. 8 to Brenda Hafera at bhafera@TFAS.org.
Weather & Attire
We will meet rain or shine, but start times may change if inclement weather is predicted. Long sleeves and gloves are recommended for comfortably transporting wreaths, and waterproof shoes are recommended for navigating wet conditions at the cemetery. As the event approaches, please check the weather and follow updates from TFAS and WAA email and social media.
