Congratulations to Chandany Chea (HK 09) of Cambodia and Taline Al Assad (I 09) of Lebanon, the two winners of the early deadline portion of the 2010 International Alumni Recruitment Competition!

Chandany and Taline both shared their experiences in AIPE and IIPES respectively with their friends and colleagues, and they each recruited five students to apply to the 2010 TFAS International programs.

For Chandany, AIPE was an eye-opening experience. After the program she shared the knowledge she learned while at AIPE with other Cambodians and encouraged them to apply for the institute so that they could have the same opportunity to strengthen their abilities and knowledge that she had.

“I believe that my contribution can help more and more Cambodian people gain knowledge from the program and become productive human resources to help the country develop together,” said Chandany.

As a TFAS alum, Taline feels that she is part of a prestigious group of young people and leaders. She says she benefitted greatly from what she learned, from the people she met during IIPES and that she will hold on to being a part of the TFAS community for the rest of her life.

After hearing about her experience at IIPES, many of her friends also decided to apply so that they could experience it for themselves.

Thank you to Chandany and Taline and to everyone who participated in the first part of this competition – including Mariam Gotsiridze from Georgia who recruited 4 students for AIPES – you helped us recruit 115 outstanding applicants for our 2010 Institutes!

Keep up the good work and don’t forget that there is another $200 gift certificate for the winner of the second half of the competition!

Alumni Recruitment Competition – Final Deadline: March 15 for AIPES and IIPES (AIPE deadline was March 1)
