Robert Novak Journalism Fellowships are intended to allow journalists early in their careers to pursue major reporting and research projects they would otherwise be unable to undertake. Applicants should have less than 10 years’ experience as professional journalists and must be U.S. citizens. Projects are expected to include some reporting component and to be broadly supportive of the principles of a free society.
Fellowships provide $35,000 in grant support and expense assistance. A second tier – “Full Fellowships” – provides grant support and expense assistance up to $75,000, with the expectation that Full Fellows will not have other full-time employment for the duration of their fellowship. For more information about the Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship Program, visit www.TFAS.org/Novak.
