Katie Ross serves as a journalism program officer at The Fund for American Studies. Before joining TFAS, she spent several years in the campus activism space, working with students to plan high-impact events, launch new organizations and advance free expression on college campuses across the country.
Originally from the Chicago area, Katie graduated from Saint Louis University in 2023 with a degree in political science and a well-practiced explanation of what a Billiken (the university’s mascot) is. She says most people don’t know, which is half the fun!
She now lives in Northern Virginia, where she enjoys reading, cooking, taking long walks and finding new things to do around the D.C. region.
