Marissa Ibarra is a student program coordinator for The Fund for American Studies high school division, the Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE). She manages and grows a portfolio of FTE affiliate organizations and individuals and assists with general administration, planning and evaluation of both in-person and virtual student programs.

Marissa was born and raised in Fairfield, California. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a double major in sociology with an emphasis in law and society, and Chicano/a studies in 2021. During her time at UC Davis, she was involved in the National Honors Society and Sociology Student Association Club. She also interned for Solano Family Justice Center, where she helped individuals in her community recover from crises.

Marissa loves traveling and spending time with her friends and family. She likes to work out, go on walks and shop in her spare time.
