Mark Vodianyi

Finance and Administrative Operations Associate

Mark Vodianyi ’23 is the finance and administrative operations associate at The Fund for American Studies. He participated in the International Affairs Program track of TFAS’s D.C. Summer Programs in 2023 and served as a program advisor for the same track in 2024, where he mentored students and helped coordinate programming that connected students with professionals in diplomacy, policy and global affairs.

Mark is originally from Dnipro, Ukraine. He began his academic journey studying law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He later graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in philosophy, where he was honored with the WVU Foundation Outstanding Senior Award and the Global Democracy Ambassadorship Award for his leadership and commitment to democratic engagement. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Eurasian, Russian and East European studies at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service.

In his free time, Mark enjoys biking in Washington, D.C., exploring local culinary spots and skiing in California.
