Venezuela has in recent years been the poster child for the failures of socialism. But it wasn’t always this way. Just a few short decades ago, Venezuela was once the most prosperous nation in South America.  How could this have possibly happened? One word: Socialism. In this webinar, you’ll hear from Jorge Galicia, a young Venezuelan freedom fighter who was forced to flee the country to avoid the persecution of the Maduro regime. Jorge shares his personal story, a riveting insider’s look into the economic and political collapse of Venezuela from someone who experienced it firsthand. Jorge will delve into his experience as well as identify key factors that lead to the rise of socialism in Venezuela.
