Presenting the 2026 Thomas L. Phillips Career Achievement Award

TFAS will present Neil Cavuto with the Thomas L. Phillips Career Achievement Award. The award is presented annually to recognize the accomplishments of a leader who has made significant contributions to journalism through a long and distinguished career. Past recipients include Mary Anastasia O’Grady, Lance Morrow, Brian C. Anderson and William McGurn.

Cavuto is an award-winning business journalist who served as senior vice president, anchor and managing editor of business news at Fox News for 28 years. Throughout his distinguished career, he has covered some of the nation’s most significant business and political events, including the Sept. 11 attacks, the 2008 financial crisis, the 1987 stock market crash and both Persian Gulf Wars. Cavuto is also the author of two New York Times best-selling books.

Presenting the 2026 Kenneth Y. Tomlinson Award for Courageous Journalism

TFAS will present Jan Crawford with the Kenneth Y. Tomlinson Award for Courageous Journalism. The award is presented annually to recognize a journalist who has demonstrated excellence in reporting and a commitment to presenting the truth, often against tough odds. Past recipients include John Tierney, James Bennet, Benjamin Hall and Jimmy Lai.

Crawford serves as CBS News’ chief legal correspondent, where she has spent more than three decades covering the Supreme Court and legal affairs. She has earned recognition for her insightful reporting and commitment to journalistic integrity. Crawford contributes regularly to “CBS Evening News,” “CBS Mornings” and “Face the Nation,” as well as CBSNews.com. She is an award-winning journalist and author known for her extensive coverage of the nation’s highest court.
