Summer is in full swing at The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) as students, young professionals and educators from around the world gather for transformative learning experiences. From Washington, D.C., to Prague and campuses across the United States, participants are engaging with ideas, developing professional skills and preparing to become principled leaders in their communities and careers.
D.C. ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS

Earlier this week, TFAS welcomed nearly 300 courageous leaders to Washington, D.C., for its eight-week D.C. Academic Internship Programs. Throughout the summer, students from across the United States and abroad will live, learn and intern in the nation’s capital while earning three to six academic credits through George Mason University and gaining hands-on experience in their fields of interest. Students also will attend exclusive site briefings, participate in mentor mixers, visit embassies and engage in many other enriching experiences.
TFAS LAW FELLOWSHIP

The nine-week Summer Law Fellowship is also underway with 33 law students from top law schools across the country. The program prepares students to defend the values and ideals of a free society rooted in individual liberty, limited government, free enterprise and constitutional originalism. Throughout the summer, Fellows will take courses at the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University, complete legal internships, participate in career-building workshops and connect with prominent judges, constitutional scholars and practicing attorneys.
TFAS INTERNATIONAL

Next month, more than 100 students and young professionals from around the world will gather in Prague for TFAS programs this summer. During the three-week TFAS Prague program, more than 70 students will study at Charles University, focusing on key topics such as political philosophy, political economy and conflict resolution.
At the European Journalism Institute (EJI), more than 40 rising journalists will engage with journalism industry experts and examine how covering religion plays an essential role in public life, as well as the importance of advancing individual freedom, human achievement and personal responsibility.
HIGH SCHOOL & TEACHER PROGRAMS

TFAS’s high school division, the Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE), is preparing for a busy summer with over 1200 high school students and teachers attending 35 programs at 18 universities and cities across the country. This year’s programs include Economics for Leaders, Entrepreneurship in the Global Economy, Environment & the Economy, Civics & Economics in Action, Socialism: Myths vs Realities and Economic Forces in American History. Educators participating in teacher programs will learn new teaching strategies designed to increase their effectiveness in the classroom.
Both students and teachers will learn the economic way of thinking through hands-on activities and lectures.
TFAS is grateful to the supporters whose generosity brings the TFAS student experience to life. Your contributions help provide life-changing opportunities for future TFAS students. Support the next generation of courageous leaders here.
