Colin Parks serves as director of the Summer Law Fellowship and the International Affairs track of TFAS D.C. Programs. Prior to joining TFAS, he served as the director of student recruitment and intern coordinator at The Institute of World Politics. There, he hosted TFAS interns and became acquainted with the people and programs of TFAS.
As an Air Force brat, Colin was born in Germany and grew up in multiple locations across the United States. Charleston, South Carolina, particularly captured his attention because of its history and unique culture. He received his bachelor’s degree with a double major in political science and history and a minor in philosophy from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, and pursued graduate studies in national security affairs at The Institute of World Politics in Washington, D.C. He had the opportunity to study abroad in Austria in an old Carthusian monastery in the mountains and to travel the continent, reconnecting with his old home, Germany.
In his free time, Colin enjoys traveling, grilling for family and friends and following the ups and downs of the Washington Nationals. He, his wife and two children reside in Woodbridge, Virginia, and are active members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Parish.
