Event Postponed: New Date To Be Announced

Lord Hannan, TFAS America 250 Visiting Fellow, member of the U.K. House of Lords, and author of “Inventing Freedom,” will deliver the keynote address on “250 Years of Freedom: What the American Tradition Means to the World.” The forum will also feature two panels on the state of civic knowledge in America and how organizations like TFAS are working to address the issue.

This event is part of TFAS’s 2026 Regional Conferences, Developing Courageous Citizens: Revitalizing Civic Education and America’s Founding Principles, a series of forums held around the country to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Lord Hannan with TFAS students and Roger Ream

Since 1967, The Fund for American Studies has taught young courageous leaders about America’s founding principles of individual liberty, personal responsibility and economic freedom. More than simply teaching the genius and import of our nation’s founding documents, new TFAS civics programs explore their philosophical underpinnings, including the books, thinkers and enduring principles that shaped the Founders’ worldview.

America’s semiquincentennial is a moment for celebration and an opportunity to reset the conversation about who we are as a nation, who we aspire to be and why the Founders’ vision must endure. We hope you will join us during this historic moment to celebrate how far we have come as a nation and to invest in a brighter future built upon our founding ideals. Together, we can help ensure that the legacy of 1776, one of the watershed moments in human progress, continues to inspire people all over the world for centuries to come.
